Coeur de Roche Sauvignon Blanc, Touraine AOP, Domaine Jean-Francois Merieau, France 2020
Loire, France
Tasting Notes
Domaine Jean-Francois Merieau Coeur de Roche Sauvignon Blanc 2020. From vines that are grown in clay-limestone soils in Southerly facing plots planted 50 years ago. The wine is fermented in oak barrel and aged on the lees in Merieau's impressive chalk cellars. This creates a powerful expression of the varietal with intensity and richness across the palate. The volume, brilliantly balanced acidity and length means it has the potential to continue ageing and gaining complexity for years to come.
