Nativo The Birds Red, Organic, Nativo, Swartland, South Africa 2020

Swartland, South Africa

NATITHEBIRDS20

Tasting Notes

Nativo The Birds Red 2020. This is an Organic Certified juicy, medium-bodied Swartland red blend of 43% Shiraz, 29% Mourvèdre, and 28% Grenache. Each cultivar is vinified separately to allow flavors to develop fully. The Grenache and Mourvèdre were fermented in open fermenters, with one-third of the grapes whole-bunch fermented. The Shiraz was 100% destemmed. The wine is pressed in a basket press and aged in old French oak barrels, and is unfiltered and unfined to preserve maximum flavor and mouthfeel. Full of generous red fruit flavours balanced with soft, earthy tannins.
