Palomino is a white grape variety native to Spain, and particularly Andalucia in Southern Spain. It is one of the major varieties most closely associated with Sherry production, but its relatively high yields make the variety well-suited to production of excellent value table wine as well. When not used in the production of Sherry, it is most often seen in table wines as part of a blend of local varieties.
