Montepulciano
Montepulciano is a high quality, vigorous red grape variety native to central Italy. It should not be confused with the wine known as Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, which is named for town of its origin and made from an entirely different variety.Wines made from the variety are typically deep in colour, with ripe, robust tannins. It is responsible for the excellent value Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and makes Italian reds at almost every price point thereafter.
