Grenache Blanc
Grenache Blanc, as the name suggests, is the white-berried form of Grenache Noir and plays an understated but important role in France's Languedoc-Roussillon, where it accounts for more than 6,000 hectares of vineyard. It produces full-bodied wines with supple fruit which are often used in blended wines, but which are seen as single varietals as well. It is also one of the important varieties used in the production of white Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
