Garganega
Garganega is a particularly late-ripening white grape variety mostly found in the Veneto in North-East Italy. Its most famous expression is the Soave for which the region is renowned, in which it may constitute between 70-100 % of the blend. In practice, many of the better wines of the region are often 100% Garganega and are steely dry wines, high in acidity with a delicate spice balanced by concentrated citrus fruit. It is Italy's sixth most important white grape variety.
