Arabella

At Arabella the wonderfully simple objective is to make the best wine possible and there passion is to achieve this goal. It is a complete family business owned and run by the De Wit family, located in Ashton, close to Robertson in the Western Cape of South Africa. The name is a clever play of words on the beautiful Arabian horses that grace the pastures of Arabella. Arabella is a relatively new endeavour that has been established on the land owned by the De Wet family since the 1860’s. With the vineyards already being established many moons ago this ensures that the vines are in prime condition to produce top quality wines at Arabella. After a new cellar, bottling hall and gorgeous tasting room were built, the very first vintage to be produced from the cellar in 2007 got off to a fantastic start with the Arabella Shiraz 2007 winning a double gold at the Michelangelo International Wine Challenge! With Stephen heading up the viticulture and winemaking departments and Jamie logistics to advertising and everything in between, we would expect nothing less!
