Domaine de la Chapelle

This property is located in the heart of the appellation of the village of Pouilly and the wines reflect the terroir - that is to say, mineral and floral notes followed by a structure strong enough to be recognized among the best wines the region and Burgundy. The average age of the vines of Domaine de la Chapelle is approximately 57 years. This ensures highly concentrated grapes for better wines. A favourable microclimate (south & south-east facing) with a clay and limestone marl allows the Chardonnay grape to fully express itself.Modern techniques are adapted to traditional methods to always ensure a consistent quality wines. Precise dosage of oxygenation, pumping over, temperatures, nitrogen inerting, etc.. The aging on the lees in wine barrels lasts a minimum 12 months (with 2 monthly bâtonnages).  The wines are then transferred to tanks (with the lees) for a further 4 to 6 months before bottling.
